First edition. Illustrated with twenty-eight plates. Collated complete. The telling of Reginald Farrer's last botanical expedition to Burma and its border with China from 1919 to 1920. Farrer was a traveller and plant collector who published a number of books. His travels were predominantly in Asia where he took specimens of particular plants and flowers to bring home to North Yorkshire. Written by Euan Hillhouse Methven Cox, a Scottish plant collector, botanist, and horticulturalist, best known as a successful propagator of rhododendrons.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the extremities and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light scattered spotting.
