This work features a catalogue of books relating to Scotland that were on sale at John Smith & Son academic booksellers in Glasgow, the oldest bookselling company in the English-speaking world. The catalogue also features a foreword by Lauchlan MacLean Watt praising the bookseller's large stock of works on various topics relating to Scotland including poetry and history.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with slight fading to the spine, discolouration to the boards, minor rubbing to the joints, slight marks predominantly to the boards heavier to the rear and bumping to the extremities. Front hinge starting with offsetting to the rear free endpapers. Internally generally firmly bound with the cords showing to the odd page with very lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot only. Light spotting to the fore edge.
