The first edition of this German Language work.

A celebration of the Zeppelin, published 'for the German people' on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first ascent of the Zeppelin in July 1900, over Lake Constance.

This work, edited by leading German art historian and critic Hans Hildebrandt, is illustrated with photographic vignettes and plates throughout, a number of which are in colour.

The first half of the work is dated to the life and personality of the inventor Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, with the second half dedicated to his work, and the design and construction of the first successful zeppelin.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Fading to front board. Front joint starting, with fraying to cloth. Board holding firm. Bumping to head and tail of back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
