A limited edition work, limited to two hundred and sixty five numbered copies, of which this is numbered one-hundred and thirty-nine. Signed by the author the edition page. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. An speech given by the author at the first general meeting of the Scottish Association for the Speaking of Verse, which took place on the 24th October 1924. An interesting speech on poets and voice. Written by John Masefield, the Poet Laureate from 1930 to 1967.
Condition
In a quarter paper vellum binding with paper to the boards, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A very light amount of discolouration to the head of the paper vellum, as is usual with paper vellum. Dustwrapper is lightly discoloured to the spine and extremities, with tidemarks to the tail of the spine and to the tail of the front wrap. Small closed tears to the folds of the dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
