Robert Smith Surtees was an English editor and novelist, most widely known for the cockney character of Jorrocks.

With twelve tipped-in illustrations in colour by George Denholm Armour, one half-tone and in-text illustrations throughout. Collated, complete. 

A delightful collection of the insights of Jorrocks on hunting, complete with a scarce dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with just a little bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. Dust wrapper has been expertly repaired to the rear joint and board, with some minor edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
