Previous owner's ink inscription to the front free end paper, dated 1943.
Illustrated with twenty-six plates by British artist Lionel Edwards (1878-1966). Edwards is best known for his hunting scenes and paintings of horses, and provided illustrations for The Sphere and The Graphic as well as for Country Life.
An illustrated guide to horsemanship by Lieutenant-Colonel M. F. McTaggart, with advice on horse riding to make it a safer and more enjoyable experience, as well as tips on stable management, equipment and horse shows.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart and bright, with faint marks to the boards. Spine is slightly faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
