A limited edition work, limited to one-hundred copies for sale, of which this is numbered nine. Signed by the author to each plate. This work is an interesting look at the sights and history of Touraine. Looking at Chinon, Langeais, Loches, Chaumont, Blois. Touraine is a province in France, and was the home of Honore de Balzac, Rene Descartes, and Francois Rabelais. Many beautiful chateaux are also in the area, including Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, and Chenonceaux. With a frontispiece, a folding map, twelve plates, and in-text illustrations. Written and illustrated by Margaret Aulton. Aulton also contributed illustrations to a volume on the sights at Royal Leamington Spa. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some light marks to the boards and spine. A little discolouration to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
