Inscribed by Wells to Thomas Hatton to the title page. Gabriel Wells was a noted bookseller, historian and author. Famous as one of the most important antiquarian booksellers in America and Britain in the first half of the 20th century, and also wrote several pamphlets on the social and economic issues of the day.

Condition

In a soft paper binding. Externally, sound with chipping to the extremities and handling marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean aside from spotting to the first and last few pages. Signed by the author to the title page.
