The first edition. 

This work provides a reference for people who were baptised, married or buried in Wimbledon from the 1530s to 1812. Wimbledon is a district and town in the South-West of London. It is now well known for being the home for Wimbledon Common, where the Wimbledon Tennis Championship takes place, and has done since 1877. The area has been inhabited since before the Iron Age.

In the publisher's original maroon cloth.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with the odd minor mark and bumping to the extremities. Light scattered spotting to the endpapers with a note on artist James Bourne loosely inserted. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages with the odd spot.
