The scarce UK first edition. In a quarter cloth binding. With an illustrated frontispiece and thirty-one plates. Collated complete. An interesting historical account of new theatre and cinema in Soviet Russia. Following its production in the 1917 Revolution until the date of publication, in 1924.
Condition
In quarter cloth binding with title plate to the spine. Externally, smart with shelf wear to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Spine is darkened. Title plate is darkened and worn. Light offsetting to the front free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Binding strained between the frontispiece and title page but otherwise firm. Some light spotting to the title page. Pages age-toned but otherwise bright and clean.
