With anecdotes involving Arthur Yates, Sir John Astley and the old days at Ascot, and notable gentlemen riders of the eighties such as Roddy Owens.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. With rubbing and bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the spine head and tail. Marks to the boards and the bookplate of Richard Green to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with scattered spotting to the first and last few leaves. With offsetting to the endpapers and a contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
