Clare was an English poet, the son of a farm labourer who was known for his poems on the countryside and its sorrows.

Edited with a preface and commentary by Edmund Blunden.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter vellum binding with patterned paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light discolouration and a couple of marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean.
