    A limited edition work, limited to three-hundred and ninety-eight copies, of which this is numbered eighty-two, printed on Japanese vellum.

    Signed by the editor, artist, and publisher to the limitation page.

    A selection of poetry by John Clare, discovered after his death.

    Containing 'The Destroyer', 'Langley Bush', 'Violet and Daisy', 'Sunrise in Summer', 'Birds' Lament', and more.

    Illustrated throughout.

    Clare was an English poet, the son of a farm labourer who was known for his poems on the countryside and its sorrows.

    Edited with a preface and commentary by Edmund Blunden.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's quarter vellum binding with patterned paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light discolouration and a couple of marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean.
