The first UK edition of this work, preceded by the true first US edition published the year prior. Stephen Graham's telling of his voyage from Spain to America, following Columbus's keel over the waters on the trail of the Spanish Conquistadors' search for the legendary city of El Dorado.
Graham ad his wife voyaged through the Indies, New Mexico, Panama, Quivira and the Seven Cities of Cibola, and Mexico.
Stephen Graham was a British journalist and prolific travel-writer, vest known for his travelogues of Russia and his journey to Jerusalem with a group of Russian Christian pilgrims.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, spine and boards only lightly bumped to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean with a touch of age toning, as usual with the type of paper used.
