The second edition of H. Rider Haggard's novel, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper. Contemporary copies of this work in dust wrappers are very scarce.

Haggard's novel features a legend about a giant gorilla monster, to which young women are sacrificed. Due to the similarities in topic, some have suggested the novel may have inspired 1933's 'King Kong'.

Undated; dated 1924 - the same year as the first edition - via LibraryHub.
