Her stories have been popular since their first appearance in 1923, enchanting both children and adults with her botanically accurate drawings, together with fairy images based on real children.
Each flower is accompanied by poems dedicated to the individual Flower Fairy, with the illustrations appealing our inner sense of magic and wonder.
Complete with twenty four colour plates.
In the scarce, unclipped dust wrapper.
Condition
In the original publisher's illustrated boards binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. With a minor faint spotting to the rear board. The dust wrapper is unclipped and very smart with only minor shelf wear and a minor faint spotting internally to the wraps, not affecting the externals. The wraps have been tape repaired internally to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Inscribed to the front wrap "Anderson." Internally, firmly bound., With a minor faint scattered spotting throughout. Illustrated with twenty four coloured plates. Collated, complete.
