With fifteen full pages of facsimile letters, with some containing drawings, as well as six further full pages of illustrations, and eight monochrome plates.
Collated, complete.
After the passing of author Arthur William King, among his papers were found a school sketch-book, with drawings by Beardsley, a series of letters and two books containing these lectures' manuscripts.
The lectures discuss the life and art of Aubrey Beardsley, who was a leading figure in the aesthetic movement, alongside Oscar Wilde and James McNeill Whistler.
With additional letters that were addressed to King by Beardsley.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. With a few nicks to the spine label. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages. With a charming hand typed note on the work tipped in to the front free endpaper.
