The first edition of this work.

Complete in three volumes.

Volumes I and II are in the original unclipped dustwrappers. Volume III is lacking the dustwrapper.

An immense dictionary of English furniture, tracing the design trends from the middle ages to the late Georgian period.

Volume I, containing A to Ch, is illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, nineteen colour plates, and monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete.

Volume II, containing Ch to M, is illustrated with a colour frontispiece, fourteen colour plates, and monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete.

Volume III, containing Mo to Z, is illustrated with a colour frontispiece, fourteen colour plates, and monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrappers for Volumes I and II. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Light marks to the boards and spines. Bookseller's labels to the rear pastedowns. Dustwrappers are edgeworn with some small chips and closed tears, including a larger chip to the head of the backstrip of Volume I. Discolouration and some spots and marks to the dustwrappers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
