1923 The Works of Jane Austen
What Our Customers Say...
Publishers' Original Binding
A complete seven volume set of the works of beloved Regency period novelist Jane Austen.
Rather stained to the spines - but a great candidate for a rebind of choice.
With each volume published in 1923, present here are 'Emma'; 'Mansfield Park'; 'Sense and Sensibility'; 'Persuasion'; 'Pride and Prejudice'; 'Lady Susan and The Watsons', and 'Northanger Abbey'.
An uncommonly early complete set of Martin Secker's 'Adeplhi Edition' of Austen's works.
With contemporary inscriptions, dated 1927, to front free endpapers.
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to spine head and tail, with discolouration to back strips and tide marks to back strips of four volumes. Tide mark to head of fore edge of 'Mansfield Park' text block. Split in cloth to tail of front joint of 'Sense and Sensibility', and at tail of front and rear joint of 'Pride and Prejudice'. Inscriptions to front free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
