An extensive volumes delving into confectionary, including many striking designs for cakes and tarts and delicate biscuits and chocolates; including a macaroon basket, Vienna tart, birthday cake, mocha cake, and many different recipes for icing.
Beautifully illustrated throughout with ninety colours plates, and seventeen monochrome plates loose to the rear.
Collated, lacking the recipe booklet, as is usual, and lacking one monochrome plate.

Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing and light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few light handling marks. Lacking one plate and the recipe booklet. Final 17 monochrome plates are detached but present, with aged tape to the gutters.
