First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon
The first edition of House and Cottage Constructions by Harry Bryant Newbold in the original publisher's bindings. Three illustrated volumes.
This study of home construction includes beautiful monochrome and colour plates and contributions from other authors.
Undated, dated from Jisc.
Volume I has fourteen plates, two in colour.
Volume II has nineteen plates, two in colour and a folding plate as the frontispiece.
Volume III has nineteen plates, two in colour. The plate facing page twelve is detached.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and slight bumping to the extremities. The front board of Volume I is slightly marked. The hinges are slightly strained but firm to all volumes. The spine to Volume I is slightly worn where this is the case. Internally, generally firmly bound. The plate facing page 12 to Volume III is detached. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
