In the publisher's original cloth binding, with illustrative gilt stamps to the front board.
A series of verses with horse-riding and hunting themes, written by Scottish-Australian narrative poet and horseman, William Henry Ogilvie.
Collated, complete with eight tipped in coloured plates, one of which is a frontispiece. Illustrated by Lionel Edwards, a British artist who specialised in painting horses and depicting British country life.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with a few spots throughout and offsetting to the endpapers.
