With fifteen plates in colour and sixteen in black and white, as well as pencil headings to each chapter. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding, gilt to top edge. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, minor bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Previous ownership pencil inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1932. Internally, firmly bound. Minor spotting to fore edge, scattered to the occasional leaf. Pages are otherwise generally bright and clean. Illustrated with thirty-one full page plates, numerous in colour. Collated, complete with plate facing p. 104 loose but present.
