Decorative Binding, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

First published in 1855, this was the author's first collection after becoming Poet Laureate. It includes 'Maud', 'Ode on the Death of the Duke of Wellington', 'The Daisy', and 'The Charge of the Light Brigade'.

Tennyson served as Poet Laureate between 1850 and 1892. He drew inspiration from classical mythology and epics, and remains one of the most important British poets in history.

Illustrated by Edmund J. Sullivan throughout in black and white.

Presented in charming gilt cloth.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; a little discolouration to the boards and spine. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Gift inscription to the front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
