A signed first edition of this work, in the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper. Collated, complete.
Inscribed by the author 'Muirhead Bone, with my good wish, Wm. P. Robins', dated January 4th 1923, to verso of half title. Sir Muirhead Bone was a Scottish etcher and watercolourist who became known for his depiction of industrial and architectural subjects, and for his work as a war artist in both the First and Second World Wars.
With vignette and full page illustrations throughout, included in the pagination. Including ninety-five print reproductions, and twenty illustrations depicting etching techniques.
With twelve pages of advertisements to the rear.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth backed paper covered boards, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper back strip age toned, with loss of paper to back strip head. Edgewear, light chipping and small closed tears to wrap heads. Internally, generally firmly bound, but strained in some places. Inscription to verso of half title. Pages clean and bright.
