Anna Karenina is a novel by Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, published in serial instalments from 1873 to 1877 in The Russian Messenger. Widely regarded as a pinnacle in realist fiction, Tolstoy considered Anna Karenina his first true novel, when he came to consider War and Peace to be more than a novel. Leo Tolstoy was a Russian writer, philosopher and political thinker and master of realistic fiction. Widely considered to be one of the world's greatest novelists, he is best know for the epic War and Peace and for his later spiritual awakening, after which he became a noted moral thinker and social reformer.
Condition
Uniformly bound in half crushed morocco bindings with gilt detailing and red spine labels. Externally, smart with some light rubbing and bumping to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages browned due to paper used but generally clean.
