The Property of S R Christie-Miller (1927) With 224 plates The Library of S R Christie Miller belonged to Samuel Christie-Miller, an English businessman and politician who inherited the library from William Henry Miller in 1852. William Henry Miller was a Scottish book collector and parliamentarian whose collection formed The Britwell Library, which was noted for the number, rarity and condition of its examples of early English and Scottish literature.

Condition

In original paper wraps. Externally, generally smart with edgewear and creasing. 1927 rebacked. 1922 lacking rear wrap and some pages to the rear including 1 plate. Some wear and loss to spines and spotting to wraps. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages bright and generally clean. Occasional scattered spots and annotations. 1922 GOOD ONLY
