The first edition, second issue of this work, with an erratum slip tipped in to the tail of page twenty-six. Held in the original unclipped dustwrapper, adhered to the spine and joints, as issued. A work on poetry literary criticism by Osbert Sitwell. The criticism is a collection of amusing and scholarly comments on poetry and its criticism, in seven parts. Sitwell was an English writer, and was the brother of Edith Sitwell and Sacheverell Sitwell, the three siblings known for devoting their lives to art and literature. Osbert devoted himself to poetry, controversial journalism, and art criticism. His other works include 'Left Hand! Right Hand!', 'Triple Fugue', 'The Man Who Lost Himself', and more.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper covered boards, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper, adhered to the spine and joints, as issued. Externally, smart. Small amount of discolouration to the boards. Some rubbing to the spine of the dustwrapper, with a small amount of loss to the rear wrap and to the head of the front wrap. A little discolouration to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Erratum slip tipped in to the tail of page twenty-six.
