This work has several original views on fly dressing and includes an expansion of Skues' theories on the vision of trout. Skues originally wrote on this briefly in his 'Minor Tactics of the Chalk Stream'. He also expands on nymph fishing for trout. A smart work on Trout fishing.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelfwear to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Gift inscription to the recto of front endpaper: 'To A C R Arrowsmith from A Dreen Xmas 1926 with best wishes'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with occasional scattered spots to pages.
