This autobiographical work was written by Reginald Dyer, an officer of the Bengal Army and the British Indian Army who was responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The work provides an account of the Dyer's campaign with the raiders of the Sarhad in 1916 during the First World War.

In the publisher's original cloth. Lacking dust wrapper. Externally very smart with fading to the spine, bumping to the extremities, a slight lean, marks to the boards and spine and small closed tears to the head and tail of the rear joint. Bookplate belonging to a 'F. Diba' to the front pastedown with offsetting to the front and rear free endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with slight age toning to the extremities and the odd spot.
