Otto Svendrup (1854-1930) was an Arctic explorer hailing from Norway, who travelled with Fridtjof Nansen's expedition of 1888 to Greenland, before making many journeys to the Arctic, claiming three islands for Norway during his expeditions. This work details his years spent in the Arctic area.

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown of volume I. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
