What Our Customers Say...

Description

Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

This is a rather political play by Lawrence, detailing the struggle between Labour and Capital.

David Herbert Lawrence (1885-1930) was an English writer and poet, known for controversy caused by the sexual nature of his work, which at the end of his life was misunderstood, leading him to undertake self-imposed exile. His best know work was 'Lady Chatterley's Lover', which was banned in many Western countries due to its obscenity.

With a number of unopened leaves, title page included.

Condition

In the original paper covered boards, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with minor wear only. Dust wrapper has a chip to the head of the spine, which has torn down the rear cover, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean, with a number unopened, including the title page.
