This work is written by Hungarian-born British playwright and author Baroness Orczy and is a sequel to 'The Laughing Cavalier'. In this adventure novel we are again following the story of Sir Percy Blakeney, an ancestor of Orczy's famous character 'The Scarlet Pimpernel'.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with minor bumping and rubbing. Offsetting to the front and rear end papers. Cloth dye bleed to the rear pastedown and ink inscription to the front free end paper. The wrap is sound with chipping, creasing, rubbing, handling marks, the odd closed tear and further dye bleeding from the red cloth. Offsetting to the reverse. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Minor spotting to the fore edge.
