What Our Customers Say...
Description
First published in 1726, 'Gulliver's Travels' is a prose satire which is a British classic, which pokes fun at human nature and travel writing.
Jonathan Swift was a satirist, essayist and poet, remembered in particular for this work, as well as 'A Tale of a Tub' and 'A Modest Proposal'. He followed in the satirical tradition of the likes of Horace and Juvenal.
With wonderful illustrations by Jean de Bosschere, a Belgian painter, throughout, including in-text vignettes in black and white, and colour plates.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine and boards are a little faded as to be expected. Internally, binding is a little strained in places, exposed at page 1 in particular. Pages have just the odd mark.
