First published in 1726, 'Gulliver's Travels' is a prose satire which is a British classic, which pokes fun at human nature and travel writing.

Jonathan Swift was a satirist, essayist and poet, remembered in particular for this work, as well as 'A Tale of a Tub' and 'A Modest Proposal'. He followed in the satirical tradition of the likes of Horace and Juvenal.

With wonderful illustrations by Jean de Bosschere, a Belgian painter, throughout, including in-text vignettes in black and white, and colour plates.

Condition

In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, some fading to the spine and bumping to the head and extremities. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean.
