Thirteen volumes. 

Colour full page and vignette illustrations to 'Dear Cassandra', monochrome vignettes to 'English History', 6 double sided monochrome plates to 'T' Other', monochrome vignettes and a frontispiece to 'Presenting', four double sided monochrome plates to 'Double Life', seven monochrome plates to 'Personal Aspects' and a frontispiece to 'Her Life and Art'. Collated complete. 

Includes an invitation for the 'Jane Austen Society' annual meeting from 1977. 

This thirteen volume collection features reference works on the celebrated Jane Austen. This set includes bibliographies on the writer, including one written by Mary Augusta Austen-Leigh, Jane Austen's great niece and daughter to James Edward Austen-Leigh who wrote 'A Memoir of Jane Austen', Jane Austen's official biography. The works also contain a collection of letters written to her sister in 'Dear Cassandra'.

Clipped dust wrapper to 'My Dear Cassandra'. In a quarter calf binding to 'History of England' with marbled paper to the boards. Externally very smart to most with fading to the spines to 'Talking of', 'Personal Aspects', 'Presenting', 'Contemporaries' and 'Her Life and Art', marks to the boards to 'More Talk', 'Her Life and Art', 'History of England', 'Contemporaries', 'Presenting', 'Talking of' and 'Personal Aspects' and bumping to the extremities to 'Personal Aspects' and 'Her Life and Art' and a closed tear to the tail of the spine to 'Talking Of (Services Edition)'. 'Study for a portrait', 'T' Other', 'Talking of Jane Austen', 'Novels', 'Dear Cassandra' and 'Double Life' are excellent with only slight edge wear. Offsetting to the endpapers to 'Novels', 'Personal Aspects', 'Life and Art' and 'T' Other' and spotting to 'Contemporaries' and 'More Talk'. The wraps are excellent with only the odd minor mark and slight edge wear to all but 'More Talk', 'T' Other' and 'Talking of' which have fading to the spines, spotting to the versos and small chips and slight marks to 'T' Other' and 'More Talk' and a closed tear to the head of the latter. Lacking dust wrapper to 'Presenting Miss Jane Austen', 'Contemporaries', 'Study for a Portrait' and 'Her Life and Art'. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages to most with age toning to 'Talking of (Services Edition)', occasional spotting to 'Life and Art', 'Contemporaries ' and 'Personal Aspects'. The odd newspaper clipping loosely inserted.
