A rare survival of a fragile book.
This is an account of the First World War as it occurred in Africa and the Far East. Includes accounts of the campaign in Togoland and Kamerun, as well as the capture of Kiao-Chau. Written by Herbert Charles O' Neill (1879-1953), a journalist working for the Daily Mail and the Spectator.

Contains seven folding plate campaign maps, as well as a number of full plate and half plate photographs.
Condition
Bound with paper covered boards. Externally a trifle rubbed, ink stains to the front cover and rubbing to the spine with price no longer legible, bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Ownership inscription to half title page. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean. Title page and foreword are unopened.
