Description

Folding Maps, Publishers' Original Binding

An expansion on 'A Colony in the Making', this is a second, revised edition, containing thirty-seven chapters on native tribes and settlers, the creatures and plants, politics, game hunting, fishing, birds and reserves, amongst countless other things.

Written by Bertram Francis Gurdon, the 2nd Baron Cranworth. Cranworth served during the Second Boer War and was made a Knight of the Garter upon his retirement.

Illustrated with a frontispiece in colour by J. G. Millais, complete with two folding maps, and photographs throughout.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; some bumping to the head and tail of the spine resulting in slight loss. Internally, binding is generally firm. Pages are a touch age-toned to the edges.
