First edition. Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece and fifty-six plates of maps with colour. Collated complete. A record of the British Empire's Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF) during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign against the Ottoman Empire in the conquest of Palestine. T.E, Lawrence's report on the Arab Revolt are found in the accompanying text to the plates at the rear. Under the command of Field Marshal Edmund Henry Hynman Allenby, 1st Viscount Allenby, a senior British Army officer and Imperial Governor who fought in the Second Boer War and the First World War.

Condition

In the original quarter cloth binding with paper boards. Externally, worn with wear to the extremities and marks to the boards. Light loss to the head and tail of the spine with splits in the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot to the endpapers.
