'The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse' is a tale based off Aesop's brilliant fable 'The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse', following a country mouse and a city mouse who visit one another in their own homes.
Beautifully illustrated in colour in Potter's typical style, with a colour frontispiece and twenty-six colour plates.
In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Crack to the tail of the spine to the rear joint with a very small amount of loss, and a small amount of lifting. Very marginal loss to the head of the spine. A few minor marks to the boards. Light bumping to the extremities. Faint tide mark to the margin of the front paste down and front endpaper, and to the following two leaves. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few minor marks.
