Author's Presentation Copy, First Edition, Original Binding, Signed, With Letter

Containing a catalogue of the poetic and dramatic literature produced between 1660 and 1700, described and annotated by Percy John Dobell. Featuring an ink dedication by the author to Hugh Selbourne (a noterd book collector and diarist) to the front free-endpaper, with an inserted handwritten letter also addressed to Selbourne: 'May 29 1951 Dear [?] Selbourne I send you the 2 lots from Sotheby's, and I have added, for your kind acceptance a copy of my Restoration Catalogue, to complete the major Bibliographical opus of my esteemed father and your humble self. Sincerely yours Percy J. Dobell'.

Condition

In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally very smart. Minor wear to extremities only. Internally, firmly bound, Pages bright and clean, aside from some spotting to the extremities of the pages.
