What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce first edition, consisting of seven monochrome captioned plates held within the publisher's paper wraps.
Collated, complete.
These plates are the work of British painter, illustrator and author W. Graham Robertson, remembered for the portrait created of him by John Singer Sargent in 1894.
The plates here appear in a monochrome state, rather than hand coloured as they more frequently appear.
The plates depict scenes from festive performances by the Guild of Country Players.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Significant tide marks to wrap tails. Internally, plates loosely inserted as called for. Plates bright, with light spotting towards heads, and significant tide marks to tails.
