The second edition of this very scarce work in the publisher's original paper wraps, printed by the Pelican Press.
Ink inscription to the front of the wraps.
The authorised report of ten speeches delivered at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 31st March 1917, with a foreword, and a postscript by H. N. Brailsford. The meeting was held to congratulate the Russian people following the abolition of their monarchy at the beginning of the Russian Revolution, and to call upon every country to establish "Industrial Freedom, Freedom of Speech and the Press, the Abolition of Social, Religious, and National inequalities, an immediate Amnesty for Political and Religious offences, and Universal Suffrage".
Speeches were delivered by George Lansbury, H.W. Nevinson, Robert Smillie, Robert Williams, Israel Zangwill, Maude Royden, Jos. Wedgwood, Albert Bellamy, Arthur Lynch, and W. C. Anderson, representing the Trade Union, and Labour, Socialist and Radical movements. The meeting was so popular that five thousand audience members had to be turned away.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally generally smart, with some chipping to the extremities of the front of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
