Unusual to see this volume in as nice a condition.
A collection of eight Sherlock Holmes short stories, all of which had previously been published, either in other collections or in 'The Strand Magazine'.
Including 'The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge', 'The Adventure of the Cardboard Box', 'The Adventure of the Red Circle', 'The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans', 'The Adventure of the Dying Detective', 'The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax', 'The Adventure of the Devil's Foot', and 'His Last Bow'.
Holmes and Watson are the best known detective duo of literature, becoming immensely culturally important since their introduction in 1887.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A few minor marks to the boards and spine, spine is a little faded. Small crack to the tail of the rear joint. Very small bump to the rear board. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some spots to the fore edge. Head of the front endpaper has been excised. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
