The first edition, with first edition endpapers, front endpaper Plate XII Quinby, rear endpaper Plate XIV Quinby.

'Appley Dapply' is a series of charming and entertaining nursery rhymes written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter. 

The title character, Appley Dapply, is a brown mouse who takes food out of a cupboard in someone's house.

Beautifully illustrated in colour in Potter's typical style, with a colour frontispiece, and fourteen colour plates.

Collated, complete.

Suitable for rebinding.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, lacking backstrip, front board is detached but present. Faint tide mark to the head of the front board. Minor bumping to the extremities. A few small marks to the boards. Front endpaper detached with the front board. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Prior owner's ink inscription to the half-title.
