The volume contains true stories of the most glorious acts of Heroism of the Empire's soldiers and Sailors during the Great War and have been written by well known authors with a foreword by the Earl of Derby. This is a fascinating illustrated record of the First World War.
Volumes I to IV have five colour plates and volume V has six colour plates.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, worn. With fading to the spines and marks to the boards. A tear to the spine of volume 3. Vol 1 hinge starting but remains generally firm, vol 2 front hinge starting beginning to loosen, vol 3, hinge is loose and weak, first few pages are loosening, vol 4 front hinge loosening first few pages loose but present, vol 5 front hinge loosening, first few pages loosening from binding. Internally, binding is loosening in some volumes. Pages are generally bright and clean.
