With a contemporary inscription to the half title.

A brightly illustrated and scarce children's work, intriguing for the manner in which it presents the major global conflict to young readers.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Pictorial onlay to front board. Boards bright, with minor discolouration to back strip and bumping to spine head and tail. Front hinge lightly strained, with board holding firm. Inscription to half title. Internally, firmly bound, with the exception of the frontispiece, which is detached and loosely inserted. Pages generally clean and bright, with instances of light spotting.
