Dictum's include abandoning the eremitical idea , but stressing that life is to be one of extreme austerity, simplicity and poverty—in all things as near an approach to St Francis' ideals as was practicable. Edited by the the Friars Minor Capuchin's Minister General, who was the worldwide head of the Order during the time of publication. Featuring an extract from the book of job to the title page, and an analytical index to the rear.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth boards and gilt lettering to the spine. Externally, a trifle rubbed to the spine and extremities. Front hinge is strained. Internally, firmly bound with clean pages, aside from browning to the margins. Library stamps to front board and endpapers as well as the first index page.
