An autobiographical account of American writer James Norman Hall's time serving in the British Army. He was on holiday in the United Kingdom when World War I began and posed as a Canadian to enlist in the army.
Hall describes his wartime experiences before he was discharged after his nationality was discovered.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with shelf wear, including light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Bookplate of one Ronald Southey to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with offsetting to the endpapers only.
