Description

Illustrated

Windsor is the third-oldest British settlement in Australia, having been established in 1791. It is located at the mouh of the Hawkesbury River, and as such was a key part of Australia's development, controlling as it did the flow of supplies to Sydney. The French were even rumoured to be planning an invasion in 1813, in order to cut off the capital. This history is concerned with those early days of pioneering settlers. With 19 illustrations.

Condition

In the original cloth with printed front board. Externally sound, with some bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. The cloth to the front board is lightly cockled. Internally, somewhat age-toned but otherwise clean. Firmly bound.
