A collection of Robert Browning's poetical works, complete in two volumes with portraits, uniformly bound in full crushed morocco bindings. A foremost Victorian poet known for his dramatic monologues, use of irony, dark humour, and social commentary, he was the husband of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, fellow noted poet. Complete with half titles. 

Condition

In uniform full crushed morocco bindings, with five raised bands and gilt to the edges. Externally smart with minor shelf wear and some rubbing to the spine and boards. Previous ownership inscription to a front blank page of vol. I, dated 1919. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with two portraits of the author.
